Originally from France, François moved to Norway in 2019 and joined digital agency Journey as a designer. There, he met lawyer and entrepreneur Erling Løken Andersen. Together, they started building Advokatguiden in 2020.

What began as a small product design project became a platform for finding, comparing and reviewing lawyers in Norway. Over the following years, the business expanded into Denmark, Switzerland and the United States under the The Lawyer Guide brand.

François became CEO in 2024 and has since been responsible for the company's overall direction, product development, international expansion and commercial strategy.

François comes from a design and digital product background, with close to a decade of experience working across digital design, user experience and web development. That background has shaped how he approaches The Lawyer Guide.

The legal industry has strong professional standards, but the way people find legal help online has changed significantly. François focuses on building a product that makes this process easier to understand, while giving lawyers a more structured way to present their expertise and build their professional visibility.

A major part of this work is adapting the platform to changes in search behaviour. People are no longer relying only on Google to find professional services. They increasingly use platforms such as ChatGPT and other AI tools to ask questions and find recommendations. For The Lawyer Guide, this means building profiles and content that are structured, accurate and useful both to people and to the systems they increasingly use to find information.

In 2026, François relocated to Singapore to build the Singapore operation from the ground up. The market is different from the European markets where The Lawyer Guide first developed. Singapore has its own legal system, professional standards, regulatory framework and expectations around how lawyers can present themselves.

François is responsible for establishing the local platform, developing its product and positioning, building relationships with lawyers and law practices, and adapting the business to the Singapore market. The objective is not to simply bring an existing European product to Singapore. It is to build a platform that makes sense for people looking for legal help here and for lawyers practising here.

The Lawyer Guide is ultimately a product built around a simple problem: people need better information when choosing a lawyer, while lawyers need a professional way to be discovered for the work they actually do. François' focus is on building the systems, products and businesses that can make that process clearer.

The Lawyer Guide group operates across multiple markets, with local platforms adapted to the needs of each country: Advokatguiden.no in Norway, Advokatguiden.dk in Denmark, Legaly.ch in Switzerland and TheLawyerGuide.com in the United States, alongside the Singapore operation. François continues to work directly across the group while being based in Singapore, with a particular focus on international expansion and the development of The Lawyer Guide as a modern legal discovery platform.
